Hi! I’m Tony Wattimena, Filmmaker/Colorist, the creator of The Shadow Age. I’ve started my journey in this industry in 2013, in front of the camera, when I got the role of “Bung Pela” in the movie “Jefta”. I always loved movies, but this sparked something in me to do something with it.
Meanwhile in 2019 I lost my job as a service engineer, because of a major take over by a multinational of our company in 2017 and our office in the Netherlands became obsolete. So it seems a steady 9 to 5 job isn’t “safe” anymore.
I decided, with the support of my family, to pursue a career in film. Right now I’m an independent filmmaker and a fully developed colorist with my own color suite, involved in commercials, (short) features and documentaries and pursuing my ultimate dream with this project of telling stories with global impact.
